Here's my method for making movement trays for any number of troops. The material I use is thin corrugated cardboard or better yet, artboard.

Painting blood onto snow bases. Its simple as.
Inspired by the article in WD 313, I set about creating my own, if smaller demon world bases.
This article shows a way to create a 3 inch base, a size used in D&D to represent a Huge creature.
What is basing? Well, it's just a matter of applying some material to the base of the miniature, to make it look like it is standing on some type of surface.
Squighoppers always scream out racing to me so I decided to make a little showbase with that theme for a squighopper I recently painted

Snow-covered bases are perfect for the armies fighting over frozen ice worlds, but any army can benefit from a strong winter theme.
Very simple way of basing multiple miniatures using glue, sand and paint. Also handy for large dioramas or scenic bases.
