Unfortunately no progress with the terminator this week, mainly due to working on this commission job – some of the new beastmen minis. I’m looking forward to getting back onto the blood angel once these are done!

Another painting session out of the house this week. I’ve had the urge to paint something seriously. It’s a long time since I painted anything to the best of my ability – especially recently. So here’s the start of a Blood Angel Terminator from the Space Hulk box. So far the method has been very simple… aaround 10 layers of GW Blood Red building up the highlights.

Not quite made Sunday with my WIP Sunday this week as I’ve been painting at a friend’s house and only just got home, but here’s a shot of what I’ve been working on! Managed to get the blue on 6 Skinks and made a start on their bases too. The blue for these is very simple – a combination of ink and drybrushing. Enchanted Blue basecoat followed by an Asurmen Blue wash. They are then Drybrushed Enchanted Blue, 50:50 mix of Enchanted Blue and Ice Blue before a final Ice Blue. Now it’s just the details and that’s a whole unit complete!… apart from one that ran away…

So its Sunday again, so time too see another WIP shot from one of the MiniPainters team.

So here is one of the Buggies from my Ork army. It has been made from a converted Truck kit, sprayed with a Platemail spray from Army Painter, washed with Badab Black and dry brushed with Boltgun metal. So working on the details and what not.

Welcome to WIP Sunday! Every sunday one of us will post up a WIP pic of something we’re working on at the moment. So to kick things off here’s a WIP of the Carnasaur I’m working on for my Lizardman army…

The skin is done, which has been inked with Gryphonne Sepia over a white undercoat. Then drybrushed bleached bone. Nice and simple technique which gets nice results. The next step is to re-undercoat the rest of it black, before painting the details.
