MiniPainters Painting Guide: Brush Care 1

It’s a good idea to mention here, just before we start painting, a couple of Dos and Don’ts relating to Brush Care. It is important to look after your brushes as they’ll last longer, and you won’t end up trying to paint with a splayed brush.

Dos

  • Rinse in water after using a colour
  • Wash in luke warm water or brush cleaner after a painting session
  • Keep plastic covers on when not in use

Don’ts

  • Leave upside down in water
  • Clog the brush with too much paint
  • Use good brushes for drybrushing!

Also washing your brushes in a little shampoo, and warm water helps get rid of the build up at the base of a brush.
